Hello.  Why am I here?  Why are you here?  We are here because I skipped college after high school and joined the Army as an enlisted man back in 1986.  I had taken courses here and there and finally decided to go back to school to complete my degree.  I am in my third year at Colorado State University’s Global Campus, an online degree program to receive my Bachelor of Science in Applied Social Science and find that I am experiencing an intellectual Renaissance of sorts.  So far, I have maintained a 4.0 and do not see any reason for that to change, although perhaps that is hubris that will be punished by the university gods.  I choose to document the journey, hoping to learn from others along the way, share the experience, discuss the work, and celebrate the little victories as they come our way.
